The 2019 Great Bristol 10k on 5th May 2019 saw clothing manufacturer and long-time Cavell Nurses’ Trust supporters Alexandra step up again to support UK nurses in hardship.
The fundraising total for their 2019 attempt currently stands at £380, which will make a significant difference to UK nurses, midwives and healthcare assistants facing serious hardship.
Wayne Gilvear, Purchasing Manager at Alexandra, has participated in all of Alexandra’s Great Bristol 10k attempts, and said “When we first started taking on the 10k challenge in 2014, there were only 6 members of ‘Team Alex’, but fast forward 6 years and the team is now 20 strong!”
“All runners were awesome and deserve some well-earned rest. We had amazing support to our JustGiving page over the weekend. It’s not too late to swing past our page and show your support to Cavell Nurses’ Trust. Please CLICK HERE”
John Harrison, Fundraising Officer at Cavell Nurses’ Trust, said “We are thrilled that Alexendra support nurses in hardship each year by taking on the Great Bristol 10k! It’s great to see so many members of their staff come together, have fun, and take on a 10k challenge to raise valuable money to support nurses in need.
“Their years of support has made a big difference to the nursing professionals in hardship who come to us seeking aid. With supporters like Alexandra, we are able to continue providing life-changing support those nurses currently struggling with personal hardship.”
